The modules below can be purchased to add to your Scheduling core package.  

Time and Attendance

This module is used when you want to collect real time data for payroll purposes. The functionality includes:

  • Organization controls pay periods, projects, tasks, and activities for employee clocking  
  • Organization controls employees method of time entries by clocking, card entry, or Kiosk; options available for hardware clocks and IVR  
  • Time sheets are approved by location and enterprise administrators and can be required to be approved by employee 
  • Pay rates can be utilized for different projects, tasks, activities and/or employees  
  • Reports display current clocked time status of employees versus scheduled time  
  • Reports display time issues, exceptions, and alerts for manager management  
  • Pay period data can be downloaded as a CSV file to upload into payroll systems

Policy Management

This module is used along with the time/attendance module when you want to apply different management policies and/or different pay rates for different groups of employees or shifts. The functionality includes:

  • Employee time entry privileges  
  • Employee attendance policies  
  • Overtime calculations
  • Pay rate differentials by project, task, and activities  
  • Shift differentials by day, shift times, and holidays  
  • Security Groups can be created to allow management of different policies  


Credentials Module  

This module is used when you want to enforce in scheduling an employee having a current, mandatory credential to be eligible to work at a station in addition to having a skill assignment at the station. The functionality includes:


  • Employees tracking of credential date expiration  
  • Employee cannot be scheduled if their credential is expired  
  • Tools to set schedule enforcement by location; clear non-compliant shifts  
  • Reports showing employees: Expired Credentials, Expiring Credentials, Non-compliant Shifts (this can occur if a scheduler manually overrides conflicts; does not occur in using auto-fill)  


Tours & Tour Bidding 

This module is used when you want to create groups of shifts (tours) for employees to bid on. It is location specific. The functionality includes:


  • Creating multiple tours, with multiple shifts, with start and end dates  
  • Publishing for employees to bid on  
  • Setting the criteria for the bids to be awarded  
  • Automatic add shifts to the employee schedule when the bid is awarded.  


Note: This differs from the BidBoard which comes with the Core Scheduling package by:  


  • Employees are selected to make the tours available to when bidding. Employees not selected cannot bid on the tours. The BidBoard is always open to all employees who have access to the swapboard.


Enterprise Scheduling Access 

This module is used to create a master Enterprise Schedule of shifts that can be worked by more than one location. The functionality includes:

  • Creating, and deploying master schedules to eligible locations  
  • Multiple master schedules can be built and assigned to individual locations  
  • Coverage reports on capacity and utilization per location  
  • Shifts can be deployed to an enterprise swapboard where employees at eligible locations can try to claim the shifts  
  • Example: ABC Library is offering reading tutoring sessions at a central location. Any employee can work the extra shifts as long as it doesn’t violate their max hour weekly limit. They can post the shifts and let employees self select them.  


Central Scheduling  

This module is used when specific shifts are managed and assigned by a central administrator, but need to be viewable in a specific location schedule. The functionality includes:

  • Creating the central schedule and deploying shifts to a location  
  • Assigning employees, editing, and managing individual shifts  
  • Example: ABC Hospital assigns the doctors to 10 different locations. Each location then creates the shifts for the nurses and staff based on the doctors assigned for that week. The location can view, but not edit, the doctor’s shifts to them in order to complete the location schedule.  


Recruiting Section Access  

This module is used to recruit and hire applicants. The functionality includes:

  • Design and post your own application form or individual job postings  
  • Track progress of application status through hiring process  
  • Hired applicants are automatically added to system as a new employee  


Client Management  

This module is used when shifts need to be assigned to both a client and a station. The functionality includes:

  • Adding customized client list  
  • Assigning shifts to clients  
  • Reporting options by client schedule  


 Route Management  

This module is used when a shift needs to be subdivided into tasks/routes to be performed at set times during the length of the shift. The functionality includes:

  • Creating a custom list of routes/tasks  
  • Assign routes/tasks within each shift manually  
  • Example: A delivery truck works from 6 am to 4pm daily and makes 8 stops at regular locations to deliver goods. The shift length is 10 hrs and has a breakdown of 8 routes with specified time intervals.
