USER SETTINGS

Link User/Employee:  A new tool on the User profile allows for a User (manager) to be linked to an Employee.  Once linked, the User/Employee can toggle between the employee portal and manager portal. Updates to either account will be synchronized (this includes updates to the name, email, phone and mobile number for example).

Supervisors (Beta): There is a new Enterprise setting called Supervisors, which can be turned On/Off, which enables you to limit access and visibility of supervisors (also users in TeamWork) to a specific set of employees in a location. This is meant to give supervisors access to only their direct reports, when needed.

SCHEDULING

Max Hours per 24-hour period: A new Location-wide setting for the maximum number of hours per 24-hour period that an employee can work.  This setting is enforced in manager scheduling, autofill and for the swapboard.

Prevent Duplicate Shifts: When adding shifts to a schedule from templates, tours, etc. there is an option, enabled by default, to skip previously added shifts.

New Month / Shifts Viewprovides calendar view of shifts and allows selecting and updating shifts, including moving shifts between Locations.

TIME

Geofencing on Clocks/Kiosks: Geofencing is designed for employees who clock in and out from their own device(s) and for organizations with non-geographical IP addresses. The longitude and latitude of the user is sent with each attempted clocking.  The geolocation is compared to a region around either a Location or Client.  If enforcement is enabled, clocking in or out from outside of the geofencing area is prevented.

TIME SETTINGS

Time Sheet Approval: An all-location option is now available, meaning when you approve aemployee’s time sheet at one location, it will approve it at all the locations for the employee.

Limited Locked Time editNew policy configuration. Allow some select fields on a time entry (like Note) to be edited even on entries in locked pay-period. Should be preferably be configured to not edit fields that impact time calculations or payroll export.

Auto Clock off in policies: Auto Clock off can now be setup and configured as part of policies instead of being part at each location.

Clock Prompt: Prompting employees for acknowledgment before first clocking of the day and tracking that they have acknowledged the prompt.

Decimal rounding: The number of decimal for time tracking can now be configured, if less precision than the default is wanted.

Employee NoteIn polices it can be enabled so employee can write in a note at the time of clock-out.

Use Local Time for Clocks: The system can use the time displayed on the Client as the time for the clocking. Limits can be set on allowed difference between client and server to prevent ‘wide’ discrepancies.

Time Compliance (Beta): The system can check if breaks are taken according to local state laws and create ‘issues’ for instances where breaks are not taken at the correct time or for the length of the break.

Location/Kiosk:  For the location-type Kiosk to load, the Allow Kiosk checkbox must be checked. Previously either the Allow Clock or Allow Kiosk would enable it if a unique id existed. Check your settings if you use location-based Kiosks, or migrate to the virtual Clock setup in the Enterprise Time Configuration section.

SECURITY

New Role Settings:  New role settings have been added to more narrowly define permissions A new role setting for Data I/O  enables only users with this role to mass update data for the organization.  There is also an enhancement to the Employees - Deploy to Locations role: It now allows end-dating at locations.
